World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), the United States' largest wrestling promoter, has sold merchandise olnline for as long as there has been an online. I am a wrestling fan lucky enough to write about wrestling, and rarely need to buy merchandise. However, after the death of my friend and one of my favorite wrestlers, I quickly went to the WWE Shopzone to buy several Eddie Guerrero Commemorative T-Shirts sold only at WWE Shop Zone. All money went to his family and I felt it was a great way to try to help support the family and remember Eddie.
While there, I browsed the other offerings and, boy, WWE thinks of everything when it comes to merchandise! [Ed. Note - they've been a great stock buy over the years too.]
What WWE Sells
WWE Shopzone sells merchandise about a specific wrestler and diva items, to WWE — and now, ECW — logo merchandise, DVDs, books, and novelties, all related to WWE wrestlers, divas, or pay per views.
Best selling and new products are pictured on the home page and, across the left side of the page are links for the Top 10 Sellers, and New Releases. Across the top of the page are more tabs: Superstar, Category, Hot Deals, Gift Guide, and Catalog Quick Shop. You can also conveniently search for wrestlers or items.
Clicking on any link or photo will take you to a larger photo, price and item description. You also see three suggestions for items related to the product.
The home page reminds you that shipping is free for orders $50 and over. Don't forget that special free shipping code (FREEME). And if you're buying for a WWE fan, your order can be gift-wrapped for only $6 per item.
At checkout, you can opt to have your purchase gift-wrapped or $6.00 extra per item. WWE Shop Zone takes all major credit cards, quickly sends order and shoppng mails and products arrive within a week or so.
Buying Eddie Guerreo Shirts
I was at WWE explicitly for Eddie Guerrero Commemorative T-Shirts and decided to get three to save on shipping and help the family. I did browse around looking at all the merchandise that was available. If you like just about any WWE wrestler or Diva, you can find merchandise devoted to them. Several stars have everything from shirts to hats to teddy bears and more branded with their name and catchphrase or logo.
Most of what the Shopzone sells is exclusive to WWE and the only way you can get it is through the site or at a show.
There are also freebies with orders over $60.
Shipping and Returns
International shipping is available, and US shipping maxes out at only $8.95 before you reach $50 and receive free shipping. You can also pay extra for expedited shipping.
You can return items within 30 days of delivery for an exchange or refund. Opened CDs, VHS tapes, DVDs, and magazines will not be refunded, only exchanged for the same item within 30 days of delivery. There is a small contact box on the same page if you want to write to the shop. Every other email link is broken and goes nowhere.
I suggest calling the number below before returning anything to be sure you will get what you want in return whether it is an exchange or a refund.
Why WWE Is A Great Shopping Site
The Shopzone is slick. . They have all the merchandise you want, and the prices are generally reasonable. Shopping is easy and the free shipping promotion is a big plus. The returns, shipping and contact information is a little difficult to find, but that looks more like design issues than the site hiding them.
If you're a WWE fan or know someone who is, this is the place to find just about any WWE related merchandise available. I give this site 4 stars. I would give it 5 but the confusing navigation caused me to downrate the site a bit.
I love my Eddie Guerrero Commemorative T-Shirts and, as an aside, they're still available if you want to help out a widow and three little girls who lost a wonderful husband, father, and wrestler at age 38 — far too soon.
