I believe that quality is better than quantity - except when it comes to things like purses. I go through a purse a month. I am rough with them, I toss them around, set them on the floor, and get sick of them easily. I own a couple of expensive designer bags but, for the most part, I seek out fun, fairly inexpensive ones and switch around to suit my mood.

I found I Got Your Bag quite a while ago and have been enjoying their products ever since. Their constant sales allow me to stock up and have a bag for every occasion and every mood and their quality is quite good. Their customer service is very attentive as well, which is so important with online transactions.

What The Site Sells

A large selection of original, replica, and monogrammed bags of all varieties, belts and belt buckles, a large selection of costume, sterling silver, and monogrammed jewelry, wallets, and luggage and totes.

The Site

This site is simple and a bit slow. It also has google keyword ads on it which could confuse new shoppers thinking they are going to a link within the site and being taken offsite. However, it is clearly spelled out above the ads that the links are not affiliated with the site. Still, a bit unprofessional.

The homepage has pictures of just in and sale bags, a list of top sellers, new product listings, and, on the left side, a list of categories. There is a search box and a notice of clearance items. In addition, there is a live customer service feature that is still in the testing stages. The page is very busy but doesn't flash or scroll so you can take your time looking around without going out of your mind from distractions.

At the top right are three other links: View Cart, My Account/Order Status, and Help. Clicking the Help tab will give you answers to everything you could want to know about the site and its policies. When I couldn't find a returns policy, I called the site and was told to click in the Help tab. There it all was, leaving no guessing about anything on the site. That tab is a bit hidden but do click on it and check out the many FAQS they have listed.

Click on one of the category links and you will see a vertical listing of everything in the category with thumbnail pictures and a short description and price. Click on a photo and it will enlarge and you get a much fuller description. A great feature of this site is they have many photos of the items, not just one or two. You get to see the bags from every angle and also are able to see the detailing. Click to add items to your cart.

When you are finished shopping, you either input your user name and password if you are a returning customer or fill in your personal details.

Pick a shipping method and at you will find out what your shipping charge will be. If you are satisfied, input your major credit card details or use PayPal to complete your transaction. You will get an immediate confirmation number and another follow up shipping one. The order should arrive in a week or faster depending on the method of shipping you choose.

My Experience

I was leery of this site at first because they seemed like a drop shipper or some other troublesome type of site. However, their prices and styles got me and I made a small purchase to see how things went. Although I wasn't thrilled with not knowing my shipping charges until the end of my ordering spree, I went ahead and ordered and paid with PayPal. Everything went smoothly and I liked the products. I have returned to the site and checked out their sales and ordered several times.

I like that their designer inspired bags are not fake designer bags. They clearly are NOT trying to be exact replicas. They are inspired by the design and anyone seeing the purses will know they aren't the real deal but just similar styles. I don't like to walk around pretending I have a $1000 purse and have everyone who knows anything about designers spot that I am sporting a fake. Plus, it is illegal to copy a designer's logo and style although many sites do it anyway.

I use PayPal for purchases on this site because it is easier for me and comes out of my checking account rather than racking up interest on my credit cards.

My orders have come quickly and the quality was good. Everything has been described.

I have enjoyed all my purchases from I Got Your Bag and have no complaints with the ordering process except I wish I knew shipping before I am at the end of my transaction.

Shipping and Returns

There is no shipping chart on the site and that is an annoyance. You don't find out your shipping charges until you are ready to check out. You have to input your billing and shipping address as well as email address and pick a shipping method before you know what shipping costs are. This is one flaw of the site. I like to know what my shipping costs will be long before I am ready to check out.

There are several methods of shipping and costs vary depending on which you choose. Shipping is pretty standard. I believe my last $35.00 order was a bit over seven dollars to ship via UPS Ground.

The site guarantees all products to be free of defects. If you get a defective item, the site will pay for you to return it and will replace the item for you.

However, if you want to return a non-defective item you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. I have spoken with customer service about this and they have waived the restocking fee for many consumers depending on circumstances so do call them and discuss a return before sending anything back.

Conclusion

I like the bags and other products that this site offers and have not ever had a problem with my orders. However, I wish they had some sort of shipping chart, even an approximation, so I could decide whether I really was getting a good deal with shipping added.

Still, you can find out your shipping charges before you input any payment info so it isn't like you can't change your mind based on the shipping fee.

I have to go with 4 stars for this website. It isn't the biggest nor is it the most well laid out but they have some of the cutest and most unique styles at very affordable prices. Customer service is very friendly as well and open long hours for you to call and ask questions or order by phone.

Check out the clearance section! You'll be shocked at how low the prices are for really nice looking bags and accessories.
