Fossil's Quality, Customer Service are Rock Solid

My love affair with Fossil watches started a couple of years ago when I saw one on someone. After finding out the brand name, I had to have one - or a bunch. My older son bought me my first one, a wide leather strapped one, and I then added to my collection of leather and metal Fossils to the point where I now have about 11 watches of the Fossil variety. I think, dollar for dollar, Fossil watches are the best anywhere.
It is no surprise that I go right to the Fossil website, www.fossil.com to get my watches. The website is an amazing place to visit and the ability to pick your watch face style and your strap style and color is just so much fun. The site is not just about the watches though. There is much more and all is high quality.
What Fossil Sells
Fossil.com's shining star is their watches. These watches come in wide and thin leather bands, metal and steel bands, stretchy bands, cuff types, and more. Styles for men and women are offered. The Fossil website also carries accessories like leather wallets and belts, sunglasses, handbags, and similar items. On the site, you can purchase Fossil apparel as well. They have many hip, trendy items for decent prices including their signature Fossil jeans. There is a wide array of gifts and gift cards are also sold on the site.
Navigation
The Fossil site, while large, is easy to navigate. It is broken down into category and gender. One click takes you to the category of your choice. The watch area is really well done. You go to the gender of the person you are buying a watch for, then the style (leather strap, metal strap, or specialty). Once there, you can browse dozens of styles and colors or watches or make your own!
By making your own, I mean you can browse dozens of watch faces, both digital and analog, then browse straps and put the two together to make a personalized watch just for you (or as a gift for someone). I love this feature and it is very easy to use. Just a click or two and you have a watch you put together waiting to purchase.
The usual shopping cart and check out procedures follow, with you needing to input your personal info or a user name and password if you are a return shopper. Then it is on to the major credit card info and you're done! Your order begins processing and you get an immediate email after the order is placed, another when it is shipped - with a tracking code, and the order arrives within a week.
Shipping and Returns
Shipping is free for any orders over $40. I like free shipping and my orders are always over $40 so I have never had to pay extra to get an order shipped to my home. Orders below $40 have a flat shipping rate of $4.95. You do have the option to upgrade shipping to two day or overnight shipping for a rather reasonable fee. ($6.95 or $9.95)
You may return items for up to 90 days after you receive them. Fossil will refund you in full within the 90-day window. You may also return any item purchased on the website at any of their brick and mortar stores with your packing slip for a refund that costs nothing to ship back.
As an aside, all Fossil watches are guaranteed for 11 years. You will receive the paperwork with any watch you order and they do stand by that guarantee.
My Experience
I have shopped at Fossil.com loads of times. I have always had a very positive experience. I love their items and I know I am getting quality. I also know that my order will be to me in under a week. I have received some orders in four days, some in about seven because weekends were involved.
I have only called customer service once and that was because I wanted to know sizing information about their jeans. I hate to order things then find that their size three is not my body's size three. I was given a courteous answer and all the info I needed. The customer service rep was knowledgeable and didn't do any hard selling. Of course, with me, she wouldn't have had to, but she didn't know that.
I made one order by phone since I already had the customer service rep on the line but the rest of my orders have been through the website.
I have experienced no out of stock notices, no mix-ups in orders, and no delays. All has been smooth as silk. And I can't recommend the watches enough. They are reasonably priced and very, very cool. They also have more dainty and elegant ones for every occasion. The men's watches are awesome as well.
If you're going to get Fossil brand items, you can't do better than to go to the Fossil website. They stand behind everything they sell for 90 days and they are reputable. No shipping charges help defray the cost of your order and customer service is an email or call away. I definitely recommend that you take a look at Fossil.com if you are looking for a new watch or some trendy accessories or clothing. You'll get hooked. I did.
