Believe it or not, I don't frequent adult toy websites very often. It's not that I offend easily; it's just the need for such items simply isn't there. However, when one of my close friends was going through a tough break up with her fiancé, I thought I would lighten up the situation and get her a few things to "replace" the bum. I had no idea what I was looking for but I knew I would know what they were when I saw them.
My journey led me to Adult Sex Toy Superstore. This site is not for the easily offended or the prudish but it is far tamer and more discrete than most sites of its kind.
As the name implies, it sells adult sex toys — for women, men, and couples. But there is much more than that. The site also offers books, DVDs, lingerie, shoes and boots, novelties, and a lingerie of the month program.
The site makes a valiant effort not to look sleazy or to use offensive photos while still trying to push their very adult products.
The home page has a trio of sexy but covered where it counts women on it along with a list of categories on the left side. Their policies and guarantees line the right side and, in the middle is a listing of what they sell (with links) and their policy of selling products at the lowest prices on the net.
The categories are varied but everything on the site is fairly tame as far as the adult genre goes. I assume people who shop on this site have an idea of what they are looking for and go to that category but browsing is always an option. There is no search box so you can't input a specific item and bring up a listing. You must follow the links.
The links will take you to all the offerings in that category. Click a thumbnail and you can see the item up close and read a short description. Adding a product takes just a click to add to your cart.
You will not see anything offensive or blatant on the site. Obviously the content is adult in nature but it isn't in your face porn like some other adult online stores are.
Navigating is a bit rudimentary. When I clicked on specific links, I ended up with thumbnails for all the categories they offer and had to click again on the category I wanted to get to. Then I had to click on a category of products within that category and finally, I was able to get to the item I wanted to check out.
Once you find what you want, you go to the standard Yahoo check out.
There, you will need to fill in your personal info. You cannot see what your shipping charges will be until you fill out that info. The next window will show how much you will pay in shipping charges. Shipping is free for orders over $99.00 but dependent on cost of your order under that amount. A $46.00 order garnered a $10.00 shipping charge. That was slightly painful.
There is a shipping chart on the site and shipping costs start at $4.85 and rise to $15.00 before you hit the magic $99.00 total order when shipping becomes free. It is pretty obvious that the shipping rates are high so that you will push the order total over $99.00 which I didn't do but probably should have.
Fill in your Visa. MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or Optima card number and expiry and you're on your way.
You will receive a confirmation email and another one when the order ships. Orders arrive, from my experience, within about nine days. That timeframe may vary depending on location.
The packaging is discreet and no one will know what it inside the padded envelope or box. The return address is "Intermediate Marketing" so Mr. UPS Man won't have a clue that you are buying battery powered panties.
There are so many of these sites on the web that I just landed on this one and browsed around until I found a couple things I thought would put a smile on my friend's face (in more ways than one!). I saw no offensive photos and, in fact, the whole site is really quite tame. They do sell adult toys and other items but they are extremely careful not to offend the casual shopper with any sort of photos that might make them click off the site and go elsewhere.
I don't much care about that but I do think it is a classy move to try to keep a site like this as discreet as possible.

I had no problem with checking out except I was not happy with the shipping cost which I felt was a big much for the little items I bought. I could have spent more and got free shipping but I didn't so, I paid the $10.00 shipping cost for my $46.00 order.
I got my emails and the order arrived very discretely in about eight days. I immediately wrapped the items up and gave them to my friend who was still in a state of depression over the break up. I haven't heard from her since. Hmm...either she is offended or really enjoys what I bought her! Actually, she did get a laugh from the items and assured me they won't sit in dresser drawer unopened. I don't need to know any more than that, thankyouverymuch.
Shipping is free for all orders over $99.00 and is on a sliding scale for orders under that amount. It can be a big high on smaller orders.
Returns get a little complicated due to the intimate nature of most items.
You can return any unworn clothing with tags on for a refund or exchange. But they go on to say that there are no returns allowed on panties, G-strings, stockings, swim wear, certain lingerie (teddies, etc.) and under garments. That pretty much narrows down the clothing area. They do not say whether the "toys" can be returns but I am thinking no. I know I wouldn't want to buy repackaged adult products and, thus, I can't argue about their no returns policies on many items.
You can return unopened products which are completely in new condition but need to contact the site first for a return authorization number. I get the distinct impression that returns are strongly discouraged site wide.

My experience was fine. Navigation is a little quirky, shipping costs are a bit high for orders under $99.00, and quality is average but prices are quite good and, if you value discretion, this company definitely swerves handlers into believing you are getting some sort of marketing products rather than adult novelties.
I had no problems with my order and the items were as described. This isn't the best or biggest adult items store on the web but it has a fair variety of items, many of them bordering on tame as far as adult novelties go, and their discretion is appreciated.
Also, I am not getting spammed by adult sites and stores and even this site itself has not sent me promotional email which tells me that my email address has not been sold or shared and I value that.
I give this site 4 stars. There is a lot they could do to make shopping easier for the consumer as far as website design but, in all, I really have no complaints.
